DIY Dip Dye Stockings

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I did it and I’m so happy about my self-dyed stockings! Panache inspired me to do some and now here my DIY tutorial for you guys! All you need is:
– dye colour (300g package for tights are enough! i used SIMPLYCOL, 300g for 3e!)
– white stockings/tights (opaque tights or not/doesn’t matter)
– elastic bands (about 20 pieces)
– a big bucket

Now tie up your tights, some bands here some bands there. Make sure that the elastic bands aren’t too loosy! Now read the insruction for the dye bath and put your tights in it! I only used the half of my dye colour! Now wait 1h and stir your tights from time to time. After that get them out and be careful with the black colour! Your fingers might get black! (like my fingers…) You got to wash out the colour and hang the what washing on the line to dry! (I also dyed some tees btw.)

After one day it should be dry and now it kinda look like this:

Now open the elastic bands and it should look like this and your done! Be careful if you are washing your tights, because it could loose some colour and it could demage your other clothes! You also can do it with other colours like pink, purple etc. I’m going to do it next time! I also dyed a tee and a top of mine take a look! Hope you’ll have fun dying your stockings! I’ll be glad if your link me and send me your results 😉 Love, Alice.
